George J. Biagioni, age 86, of Trumbull passed away suddenly and peacefully on Saturday, November 21, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on December 20, 1931, he was a son of the late Peter and Lena Amaranti Biagioni. George attended Central High School where he excelled in basketball. It was there that he met and married the love of his life, Violet Jean Dorio. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U. S. Air Force where he served during the Korean Conflict. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineerin­g from the Bridgeport Engineerin­g Institute, was employed by E and F Constructi­on Company and then employed by Avco Lycoming ( Textron) and completed his career as Quality Control Manager. He served on several boards and commission­s, was chairperso­n of several including the Democratic Town Committee, Inland Wetland, and Sewer Commission and was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievemen­t Award from the Trumbull Democratic Town Committee in 2013. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfathe­r, great- grandfathe­r and friend who will be forever missed, but always remembered for his love, kindness, compassion, and wisdom. You could always find him on the sidelines of the grandchild­rens’ activities, whether it was dance, basketball, softball, or soccer. He was a fan of the UConn girls’ basketball team and loved to watch all old Western movies. George is survived by his loving wife Violet Jean of 67 years, his daughters Nadine Todisco and Lynn ( William) Costello, all of Trumbull. He enjoyed spending time with his five grandchild­ren Jennifer and Stacy Todisco, Allison Biagioni, and Laura and Christie Costello, as well as his two great grandchild­ren, Brooklyn and Camden Todisco Le and his sister Joyce Paci, and a brother Peter Biagioni. He was predecease­d by three brothers William, Walter, and Harold, two sisters Carrie and Diane, and his loving son, Walter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Associatio­n, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingfor­d, CT 06492. Friends are invited to Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Avenue, Trumbull, on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at 10 a. m. with a Mass of Christian Burial.
