1 BRIDGEPORT MAN CHARGED WITH ID THEFT
A 28- year- old Bridgeport man has been arrested on fraudulent use of credit cards, larceny and identity theft charges.
Jovan Boyd, of Worth Street, was arrested on a court warrant Tuesday charging him with third- degree identity theft, making a false statement to procure issuance of a credit card, credit card theft, fourth- degree larceny, embezzlement and four counts of conspiracy.
On Oct. 8, Boyd and Daisha Haynes, 20, of Bridgeport, were arrested following a brief pursuit with Westport police. Haynes and Boyd had fled the suspect vehicle and were arrested in a second vehicle shortly after, police said.
Haynes’ vehicle was found to contain a large amount of mail stolen from Westport and a number of surrounding towns. She was also found to be in possession of credit cards in the names of 10 other people.
Boyd was held in lieu of $ 75,000 bond and later arraigned in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
Hayes, 20, was earlier charged with evading responsibility, sixth- degree larceny, interfering with an officer: non- assaultive, conspiracy to commit larceny and credit card theft.
