A 28- year- old Bridge­port man has been ar­rested on fraud­u­lent use of credit cards, lar­ceny and iden­tity theft charges.

Jo­van Boyd, of Worth Street, was ar­rested on a court war­rant Tues­day charg­ing him with third- de­gree iden­tity theft, mak­ing a false state­ment to pro­cure is­suance of a credit card, credit card theft, fourth- de­gree lar­ceny, em­bez­zle­ment and four counts of con­spir­acy.

On Oct. 8, Boyd and Daisha Haynes, 20, of Bridge­port, were ar­rested fol­low­ing a brief pur­suit with West­port po­lice. Haynes and Boyd had fled the sus­pect ve­hi­cle and were ar­rested in a sec­ond ve­hi­cle shortly af­ter, po­lice said.

Haynes’ ve­hi­cle was found to con­tain a large amount of mail stolen from West­port and a num­ber of sur­round­ing towns. She was also found to be in pos­ses­sion of credit cards in the names of 10 other peo­ple.

Boyd was held in lieu of $ 75,000 bond and later ar­raigned in state Su­pe­rior Court in Nor­walk.

Hayes, 20, was ear­lier charged with evad­ing re­spon­si­bil­ity, sixth- de­gree lar­ceny, in­ter­fer­ing with an of­fi­cer: non- as­saultive, con­spir­acy to com­mit lar­ceny and credit card theft.
