- By Tara O’Neill

BRIDGEPORT — Details regarding a hit- andrun that killed a pedestrian Friday morning were scarce Saturday. Officials could not be reached to confirm the identification of the victim or the person arrested.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at Bridgeport Hospital after being hit by a vehicle that fled at the intersection of Boston and Kent avenues around 11 a. m. Friday, according to police, who said a suspect was quickly apprehended, and would face charges.

The arrest log at the Bridgeport Police Depart- ment available Saturday morning indicated that three people were charged with motor vehicle- related violations on Friday.

One of those, according to the arrest log, was 24year- old Robert Howard Dominguez, of Walnut Tree Hill Road in Shelton, who was charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle and evading responsibility after a crash that resulted in death.

It could not be immediately confirmed, though, the incident that led to charges against Dominguez was the same one in which the pedestrian was killed at Boston and Kent avenues.
