COPS SAY MAN WIELDED KNIFE IN ALTERCATIO­N

AWestport man threatened victims while waving a knife at a local residence, police said.

On Dec. 29 around 8: 30 p. m., officers were dispatched to a residence on report of a disturbanc­e. Upon arrival, officers learned Alec Johnson, 23, threatened victims while brandishin­g a knife and then left the scene, police said. No one was injured during the incident, according to police.

Officers later located Johnson at Compo Beach and transporte­d him to police headquarte­rs, where he was charged with threatenin­g and disorderly conduct. Johnson was held in lieu of $ 10,000 bond and transporte­d to state Superior Court of Norwalk the following morning for arraignmen­t.
