1 EX- COACH FACES MORE EXPOSURE CHARGES

A former Staples High School girls’ soccer coach has been charged in connection with another indecent exposure incident, this time in Norwalk, police there said Saturday.

David Sharpe, 29, of Warren Avenue in Fairfield, was charged with breach of peace and public indecency following his arrest in Norwalk on Friday. The former Westport coach was also charged by Fairfield police with breach of peace and public indecency in early December 2018.

“It was later revealed that David Sharpe was a girls’ soccer coach for Staples High School, from which he resigned after his interview with detectives,” Fairfield Police Lt. Robert Kalamaras said at the time.

The Norwalk case stemmed from an incident on Sept. 26, in which, police said, Sharpe drove up to someone walking a dog and “exposed himself to the victim while masturbating,” police said.

Sharpe was held on a $ 50,000 bond for the Norwalk charges and is expected in court on Jan. 25.
