Where to vote

- By Keila Torres Ocasio

There may not be a presidential election or even a statewide one on Nov. 5, but local officials — your first selectman, Board of Education, town councils and more — make decisions every day that affect your tax bills, city services and quality of life.

So, if you live in a town along the greater Bridgeport area or in the Valley — Fairfield, Monroe, Oxford, Seymour, Stratford, Trumbull or Westport — and don’t know where to go on Nov. 5 to cast your ballot, check out your town’s polling places below.

If you’re not sure what district your home is in, there’s a nifty voter lookup tool on the Connecticut Secreterary of the State’s website where you can plug in your town, name and date of birth and find out your polling locations for state and local elections.

Live in an area city and not a town? Hearst Connecticut Media has compiled a list of polling places there too.

And for more about the candidates you’ll see on the ballot and what their thoughts are on important issues, check out our elections page at ctinsider. com/ news/ election/ ctpost.
