The work of Anna Hyatt Huntington can be found throughout Europe and the Americas; here’s a list of her sculptures in Fairfield County:

Redding: General Israel Putnam, at the entrance to Putnam Memorial Park; it commemorat­es Putnam’s escape from the British in 1779, when he rode down a cliff at Horseneck Heights in Greenwich.

Redding: “Fighting Stallions” at the entrance to Redding Elementary School.

Redding: “A Tribute to the Workhorse” at the John Read Middle School.

Redding: Sculptures of a bear with her cubs and a pair of howling wolves — “Mother Bear and Cubs” and “Sculpture of Wolves,” — flank the entrance to the Collis P. Huntington State Park.

Redding: A small, 64- inch version of the “Torch Bearers” is mounted near the entrance to the Mark Twain Library.

Danbury: “Sybil Ludington,” to commemorat­e the 1777 ride of a brave 16- year- old who rode 40 miles through darkness to warn local militia of approachin­g British troops after the burning of Danbury. At the entrance to the Danbury Public Library.

Bethel: “Young Abe Lincoln on Horseback,” in front of the Bethel Public Library.
