BRIDGEPORT — A 26- year- old man has died after sustaining injuries in a crash on Friday night, according to Bridgeport police.

Bridgeport Police Capt. Kevin Gilleran said Rushane A. Frazer, 26, of Shelton was riding a blue and white Suzuki motorcycle in the left of two eastbound lanes on Boston Avenue just before 9 p. m.

A 31- year- old woman, driving a Nissan Altima in the right eastbound lane, attempted to turn left onto Pembroke Street, blocking his path and “causing the motorcycle to make contact with the driver’s side” of the vehicle, Gilleran said.

Both Frazer and the woman were transported to the hospital to receive care. Frazer died later in the evening. The woman is being treated for minor injuries.

“The Bridgeport Police Department offers its sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Frazer,” Gilleran said.

Gilleran asked anyone with additional information related to this crash to contact the Bridgeport Police Department’s Traffic Division ( Officer John Perry) at 203576- 7640.
