Robert ( Bob) James Harries, 63, formerly of Stratford, passed away on February 10, 2021, surrounded by his family.

Bob was born on May 7, 1957 to Patricia Patterson Harries and Robert J. Harries in Bridgeport, CT. He graduated from Bunnell High School in 1975 and attended CCSU in New Britain.

Bob was employed as a Sales Representa­tive for UST Distributi­on before becoming an Independen­t Distributo­r for the last 15 years.

He made his home in Farmington with his best friend, Miky, a rescue dog who was by his side at all times. When he wasn’t out exploring nature with Miky, he was watching the Dallas Cowboys and the UConn basketball games. Bob was also an avid reader and he enjoyed visiting the casino when he was feeling lucky. From hiking to outdoor music festivals, Bob was always looking for the next great adventure.

Bob is survived by his mother Pat Harries of Shelton, sister Donna ( Steve) Cherhoniak of Seymour, sister Kate ( Jack) Anderson of Hull, MA, nephew Steven ( Ashley) Cherhoniak of Seymour, niece Erin Anderson of Weymouth, MA, and nephew Robert ( Neritza) Cherhoniak and their daughters Ava and Mia. He was predecease­d by his father, Robert J. Harries.

Bob was a passionate music supporter, especially of the band, Max Creek. He knew the words to every song and never missed a show. Donations in Bob’s memory will be accepted for the Max Creek 50th Anniversar­y “Keep the Music Alive”, a music event that will benefit musicians that have been negatively impacted by COVID- 19.
