Henrietta A. Hylwa, age 93, peacefully entered into eternal rest on February 18, 2021, at Griffin Hospital. Mrs. Hylwa was born at home in Ansonia on September 3, 1927, daughter of the late Stanley and Felicia Danowski Jastrzembs­ki. A graduate of Ansonia High School in 1944 and lifelong resident of Ansonia, she was employed in the Payroll Department at the former Parker Hannifin Co. in Shelton for forty- five years, until her retirement in 1989. Henrietta was a communican­t of St. Joseph Church in Ansonia, loved to travel, and was a member of the Ansonia Senior Center. She is survived by her loving and cherished grandchild­ren, Courtney Hylwa of Los Angeles, CA, Lindsay Hylwa of Ansonia and Eric Hylwa of Hamden. She was predecease­d by her son, William Hylwa and her sister, Valerie Jastrzembs­ki. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a walk- through visitation on Tuesday morning February 23, 2021, from 9: 00 to 10: 00 am in the chapel of the SPINELLIRI­CCIUTI/ BEDNAR- OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. Visitors are required to wear masks and social distance as they walk through to pay their respects and exit without lingering. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10: 30 am at St. Joseph’s Church, 32 Jewett Street in Ansonia. Interment will take place in St. Michael Cemetery in Derby.
