Lawrence “Larry” Ralph Napolitano, age 94, of Stratford, beloved husband of the late Carmella “Millie” Napolitano, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2021 at Bridgeport Hospital due to complicati­ons from Covid. Larry was born on January 8, 1927 in Bridgeport and was the son of the late Peter and Maria Napolitano. Larry served in the U. S. Army during World War II and fought in the Pacific Theater. He worked many years at Burritt Lumber and later at Sikorsky Aircraft until his retirement. Larry loved spending time at the Stratford Baldwin Center where he was an active member & volunteer. He also cherished spending time with family and Ava his great granddaugh­ter. Larry is survived by one son, Lorenzo Napolitano Jr. and Kim Roberts of Milford, two daughters, June Napolitano Pruitt of Bradenton, Fl. and Gail Tenney and husband Vincent of Stratford, one grandson, Matthew Tenney and wife, Cristina of Shelton, one beloved great granddaugh­ter, Ava Grace and several nieces & nephews. In addition to his beloved parents, Larry was also pre- deceased by three brothers, Philip, Louis and Peter and three sisters, Rachel, Josephine, and Marie. Due to the current health situation, all services were held privately and a celebratio­n of his life will be held at a later date. Arrangemen­ts were entrusted to the Galello- Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Larry’s memory to the Westport Humane Society, 455 Post Road East, Westport, CT, 06880.
