Julie A. Jacob, age 89, formerly of Stratford, beloved wife of the late George E. Jacob passed away in Vermont on March 1, 2021. Julie was born in Bridgeport, Connecticu­t to the late Stephen and Julia ( Konfederak) Sostko and had been a lifelong area resident. She is often described as a warmhearte­d woman with a

contagious laugh. Julie enjoyed 64 years of marriage with George, raising her family, and being a homemaker. For many years she was an avid bowler and would be seen at Circle Lanes, Nutmeg Lanes and Stratford Town Fair

Lanes. She was a devoted Yankee fan, a frequent knitter, and later in life passed the time doing word searches, crossword puzzles, and coloring.

Survivors include her devoted children, John Jacob and his partner Karen of Vermont, David Jacob and his wife Melissa of Shelton, Scott Jacob and his wife Jodi of North Carolina, and Kimberly Wokanovicz and her husband Robert of Shelton, cherished grandchild­ren, Adrianne and Michael Jacob, Katie Carlino ( Christophe­r), Amanda Erickson ( Ryan), Victoria and Elizabeth Jacob, Lauren and Kevin Wokanovicz, and Nate Jacob, a great- grandson, Rhett Erickson, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Julie was pre- deceased by 5 brothers, Michael, Stephen, John, George and Frank Sostko, and a sister, Helen Sutyak. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 16th at 11 a. m. meeting directly at Our Lady of Grace Church 497 Second Hill Lane Stratford. Inurnment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery,
