Frank William Pepe, Jr., age 70, of St. Augustine, FL, son of the late Frank William Pepe, Sr. and Sophie Kulis Pepe, passed away on April 13, 2021 after ongoing struggles with heart disease and diabetes. Gregarious and outspoken, Frank was also known for his generosity and kindness. In his youth, Frank enjoyed playing baseball and was an accomplish­ed pitcher. After graduating from the University of Bridgeport, he continued working together with his father and uncle, William Vito Pepe, at Arcade Tool and Die, a company founded in the Bridgeport Arcade Building at the end of the 1940s. Always grateful to the City of Bridgeport, Frank was long- time supporter of the Bridgeport Food Bank, Bridgeport Hospital and numerous other charities. Frank leaves his loving brother, Edward, and Edward’s life partner, John Towne; his dear friends Mary- Jo and George Ferrara, Linda and Timmy Troy; many cousins; and his sons, Eric Pepe, Evan Pepe and Christophe­r Pepe. Family and friends wish to express gratitude to the doctors and nurses of Bridgeport Hospital, both in Bridgeport and at its Milford Campus and at Gaylord Rehabilita­tion Center, for taking care of Frank on various occasions over the years and for also making him comfortabl­e in his fi nal days. Due to COVID, there will be no calling hours. A celebratio­n of life will be held at the family’s convenienc­e as weather permits.
