Barbara Demougeot

Barbara Louise Demougeot, age 90, of Fairfield, born April 26,1931 passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Robert Demougeot for 64 years. Born and raised in Danbury, daughter of the late Elbert and Mildred Euvrard Drumm, Barbara moved to Fairfield after her marriage and was a Fairfield resident for over 60 years. She graduated from what is now Western Connecticut State University with a degree in education. Her last teaching position was for the Easton School District where she worked for many years in a job she loved. She had a special gift for nurturing which positively impacted many children during her career. Barbara enjoyed travel, sewing and spending time with her husband and family. She will be remembered as a loving, intelligent, beautiful person who touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her husband, sweetheart and best friend Robert, Barbara leaves behind her daughters, Liane Ralston and her husband Glenn of Monroe, Robin Demougeot Archer of Fairfield and Holly Marshall and her husband Lars of Amherst, MA, her seven precious grandchildren Lauren and Scott Ralston, Jennifer Camp and her husband Nate, Josh and Ben Archer, Nick Marshall and his wife Chelsea and Lillie Marshall, great granddaughters Coralie Ralston and Natalie Camp, a sister in law Betsy Drumm as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Dorothy Knapp, brother Ronnie Drumm, and her son in law Peter Archer. Funeral services will be held privately in the care of the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home.
