Donato Leone Jr.

Donato Leone ( Danny) age 73, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 21, 2021 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport, CT, he was the son of the late Donato and Antonetta Fabrizio Leone. Donato was a graduate of Fairfield Preparatory School and Sacred Heart University. He was dedicated to his in the work banking and hotel industries. He was an avid chess player and sports fan. He enjoyed watching the NY Yankees, Giants and Knicks games and listening to 1960’ s music. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends as well as weekend, day trips to scenic CT shoreline towns. He had strong pride in his Italian- American heritage and it was reflected in his love of classic movies, food and cultural gatherings. Survivors include his loving sisters Rita and husband Robert Lichtman of Rockland, Maine, Lucia Leone and Robert Ubaldo of Georgetown, CT, sister Joanna Leone of Trumbull, and brother in law Mark Muccino of Fairfield, CT as well as well as aunts, Anna Coster, Antoinetta Fabrizio and Assunta Fabrizio and several cousins. Donato was predeceased by his sisters, Cyd Leone and Susan Buczek and brother- in- law Rich Buczek. A Tribute and graveside prayer service will take place on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 12: 00 p. m. directly in St. John’s Cemetery, 500 Moose Hill Rd., Monroe.
