Hinda Rebecca Santo, age 83, of Stratford passed away June 23, 2021, with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Robert A. Santo. Hinda was born in Perth Amboy, NJ, on January 29, 1938. She was the loving daughter of Charles and Anna Mary Feibush, lived in Woodbridge, NJ, and graduated from Woodbridge High School, prior to earning both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Bridgeport. Hinda was an elementary school teacher in Woodbridge Township, NJ and in the city of Bridgeport. She later stayed home to raise her two children. She served as PTA President at Wilcoxson Elementary School, ran their lunch program, and was a substitute teacher in Stratford. She was the President of both the Stratford and Fairfield County Chapters of ORT. She had a great sense of humor, loved her scratch offs, loved to travel, and was always ready for an adventure and for new experience­s. Hinda loved to spend time with and feed her family. She appreciate­d a good meal, and especially enjoyed her more than monthly trips to NYC, where she enjoyed all the city has to offer. Her greatest accomplish­ments were being a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandmothe­r. She looked forward to and enjoyed supporting and attending her children’s and grandchild­ren’s many sporting events and activities. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her and loved her, and she will forever be in our hearts. Hinda was predecease­d by her parents, her beloved brother, Dr. Howard Feibush, and her beloved cousin, Dr. Marvin Friedman. Hinda’s loving family, in addition to her husband Bob of 61 years, includes her children, Robbie Santo ( Maria) and Debbie Bogdwicz ( Joseph), grandchild­ren, Bobby Santo, Rachel Santo, Jessica Bogdwicz, and Brett Bogdwicz, nephew Charlie Feibush ( and family), niece Samara Klein ( and family), Cousin Mary Elizabeth Canavan ( Chris), all of her New Jersey cousins, and special friends. If you wish to honor Hinda’s life, please think of her the next time you sit down for a wonderful meal. Hinda’s family would like to thank Jewish Senior Services and Kelly and Veronica from Chaifetz Family Hospice for their care. A visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 29th from 4- 7 p. m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. All other services will be private.
