Tressa “Terry” Waters

-

Terry Waters ( also known as Tressa) was born in Pennsylvania and was orphaned at an early age. She was raised by her Aunt Velma in Michigan, then moved to Connecticut to live with her sister, Helen. Terry earned her R. N. degree, and met the love of her life, Jim Waters. They married and had three children. As Jim was an Army officer, the family lived in many parts of the world. They settled in Trumbull, Connecticut, and Terry lived there for 50 years. During those years she blessed countless neighbors with homemade pies, cookies, and other delicious goodies. She was a pint- sized container of love, humor, and wisdom, and was loved by many. She was a devoted Christian and was an active member of the Nichol’s United Methodist Church. Due to failing health, she moved into a wonderful care facility where she lived until her death. Terry’s husband, Jim, preceded her in death, and she is survived by her children Kathleen Reed, James Waters, and Christine Wills. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 4: 00 to 7: 00 p. m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10: 00 a. m. in Nichol’s United Methodist Church, 35 Shelton Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Nichol’s Village Cemetery, Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 200 Executive Blvd., Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489.
