Miles Phillips

Miles Jubin Phillips, age 67, was a resident of Boscawen Merrimack County Nursing Home. Miles served God with the power of the Holy Spirit while on Earth and was called to his Eternal home with God and His Son Jesus Christ in Heaven on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. He was born on March 4,1954 in Hartford CT. Miles was predecease­d by his loving parents Dr. John B. Phillips and Mae Claire Phillips and his loving brother Robert Phillips. Miles is survived by his sister Donna Eberhart- Phillips and brother in- law Jason Eberhart- Phillips of New Zealand and their loving sons Paul Eberhart- Phillips of New Zealand and Luke Eberhart- Hertel of Germany. He is also survived by his loving sister Laura McIntosh of Bridgeport, CT and her loving son Guy McIntosh of Poland, Ohio along with several cousins and all of his brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ.

Miles grew up in Fairfield, CT and attended Fairfield Public Schools. In 1972, he graduated from Andrew Warde High School in Fairfield. He graduated in 1976 with a BA Degree in Politics from American University in Washington, DC. Prior to his stroke in 2004, Miles worked for many years as a clerk for 7- Eleven Stores in Manchester, Goffstown and Derry, NH. He was formerly an accounting clerk with MODUTEC in Manchester, NH.

Miles enjoyed politics and was elected several times to the Goffstown Planning Board and the Fairfield Zoning Board of Appeals. He was active in the Fairfield, CT Republican Party and served as District Leader and was elected as Representa­tive to the town meeting for one term. Miles volunteere­d for twenty- two years as a Youth Leader and Ranger for Christian Service Brigade with several churches in New Hampshire and Connecticu­t.

Miles enjoyed taking care of his cat Amber. He was an avid New York Mets fan and passionate about Baseball. He was also an avid fan of the Washington Redskins. Hobbies included cooking, enjoying fine dining and attending area classic car shows. He loved to read newspapers, magazines and books about cars and sports. Most of all, Miles loved reading God’s love letter, the Holy Bible. One of his favorite scripture verses is Romans 10: 9. Before his stroke, Miles was very active at Jesus Christ Church, Southside Bible Fellowship in Manchester, NH.

The family wants to thank Southside Bible Fellowship for all of their faithful, persistent prayer warriors, who prayed for Miles each week. Also, the family wants to thank all of the God- given, talented essential workers who gave Miles great care and comfort while at Merrimack County Nursing Home, Concord Hospital and Granite VNA Hospice Services. A service will be held at Southside Bible Fellowship, 200 South Jewitt Street, Manchester, NH on July 6, 2021 at 6: 00 pm. The burial will be at Stafford Street Cemetery, Patten Road, Stafford, CT on July 7, 2021 at 2: 00 pm.
