Barbara Wagner

Wagner- Barbara Wagner, age 94, of Stratford passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Connecticut Hospice on June 30, 2021. Born to the late Richard and Esther Rogers on November 7, 1926 in Bridgeport. Barbara was the beloved wife of the late John C. Wagner, mother to Laura Wagner, Robert Wagner and John Wagner. Grandmother to Holly Guimares, Amie Wagner and Vicki Hunt. Great grandmother to Ash Hunt and Auntie to 4 loving nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Barbara was a resident of Bridgeport most of her life, she attended St. Augustines School and Bassick High School where she was a member of the Chess Club. She worked as a Key punch operator at Columbia Records and later in life as a private duty companion at 3030 Park and the Carolton. Barbara loved camping, being out in nature, flowers, nips ( the candies) and doing word search for hours. She was especially proud of her Irish heritage and went on a trip to Ireland which she called, the trip of a lifetime. Barbara was truly one of a kind and kept everyone laughing. She was kind and patient. She will be dearly missed by many. Friends are invited to attend her Funeral on Thursday July 8, 2021 at 9: 15 from the Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Ave, Bridgeport and at 10: 00 am at The Cathedral of St Augustine, 359 Washington Ave, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St Michael Cemetery in Stratford. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday July 7, 2021 at the funeral home from 4 to 7 pm.
