Kenneth H. Dielman

Kenneth Harry Dielman, age 91, of Bridgeport, CT and formerly New Hyde Park, Long Island, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 12, 2021. Born in Bellerose, NY to the late Harry and Mildred Dielman, Ken grew up in Queens and entered the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and proudly served as a Second Lieutenant. Prior to his retirement, he was an Underwriter Manager for several commercial insurance companies.

Ken was known for his generosity, quick wit, humor, and love for his family and friends. He enjoyed celebrating holidays and birthdays with his family, boating and fishing, analyzing the financial trends on his computer, and meeting new friends at the Watermark.

Ken is survived by his two loving children, Robert Dielman of East Setauket, NY and Janet Dielman of Madison, CT; his two grandsons, John and Nicholas Dielman, his sister-in-law, Pam Blank and her family, his stepsons, step-daughters, stepgrandchildren, and several nieces. He was predeceased by his brother, Harry, his sisters, Grace and Dorrie, his first wife, Doris, his son, John, his brother-in-law, Jack, and his second wife, Anita Garbarino Dielman.

Friends are invited to greet his family on Monday, August 16, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. with a service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road in Fairfield, CT.
