Susana Mangiamele

Susana K. Mangiamele, age 91 of Shelton CT formerly of Newtown CT and Spring Hill FL, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, August 7, 2021. Born on May 30, 1930, in central PA, she graduated from Central High School and worked at Sikorsky Aircraft for 34 years. Sue loved her job and received countless accolades for her tireless work ethic and dedication.

She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Bridgeport Police Captain Bernard Mangiamele. She was a devout Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She enjoyed weekly dinners, fun family gatherings and enjoyed cheering on her children and then grandchildren at many sporting events and music recitals. She always offered a helping hand and enjoyed history, music, dancing, reading, and going up to the casino along with playing bocce and cards. But most importantly she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children; Lori Bissell and her husband Benjamin, Mark Mangiamele and partner Jackie and Rick and wife Patty. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Mark Mangiamele, Brian Mangiamele and wife

Emily, Adam Bissell, and Joe Mangiamele.

Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY in St. Margaret’s Shrien, 2523 Park Ave., Bridgeport.
