Man found dead in Bridgeport early Saturday, officials said

BRIDGEPORT — A man was found dead in Bridgeport early Saturday morning, according to officials.

A citizen called emergency officials around 12:35 a.m. Saturday to report a man on the bleachers behind a field in the 1000 block of Boston Avenue , according to Scott Appleby, the director of emergency communications for Bridgeport.

The police and fire departments arrived, as well as medical personnel, but the man had died, Appleby said. He did not identify the man.
