Not believing letter

-

In a recent letter to the editor, someone wrote that before Roe v. Wade, the emergency rooms were filled of women who were bleeding and infected because of illicit abortions, which I find hard to believe. I would also like to add that you do not legalize something because many people are doing it. People are getting injured and killed today by gun violence between rival gangs. Some end up in the emergency room but we don’t bring back dueling even if done under the supervision of medical personnel.

The author of this letter believes that people who are against abortion should not impose their position on others. If you follow that line of reasoning people who were against slavery in this country should not have had taken steps to abolish it. Many people who were in favor of it were probably saying if you are against slavery do not own one and just leave us alone. They were not leave it alone because it is a crime against humanity as is abortion.

The author of this letter states, “no one likes abortion.” If abortion is not the taking of an innocent life, why do people not like it? Many people suffer emotionally from their involvement in abortion. For these people I suggest that they contact Project Rachael.
