Westchester Knicks to play games at Webster Bank Arena
BRIDGEPORT — The Westchester Knicks, New York’s affiliate in the NBA’s minor league, will play home games at Bridgeport’s Webster Bank Arena in 2021-22.
A large banner on the Bridgeport arena made it apparent that the team will play 24 regular-season games here. The NBA G League team normally plays at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, N.Y., but that building is being used as a COVID-19 vaccination site.
“We look forward to the opportunity to call Webster Bank Arena home this upcoming season and are proud that Westchester County Center continues to service our community as a vaccination hub,” Knicks director of minor league operations Pops Mensah-Bonsu said in a statement.
The G League schedule begins with a 14-game Showcase Cup tournament through November and December, and records reset for the 36-game remainder of the regular season in January.
