Elaine Laskowski

Elaine Laskowski, age 82, beloved wife of Thaddeus “Ted” Laskowski of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 surrounded by family at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on February 18, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Emma Almassy. Elaine graduated from the Bridgeport School of Nursing and worked at Bridgeport Hospital as a Registered Nurse for many years before leaving to raise her family. Family was most important to Elaine. She enjoyed the many family vacations to Myrtle Beach, trips to the casino with her husband and the countless holidays that she made so special for her family. She also found great joy in watching her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting activities and school plays as well as watching her favorite TV show Law & Order with her favorite Hungarian actress, Mariska Hargitay. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by her family and friends. In addition to her beloved husband Ted of 61 years, survivors include two loving children, Thomas Laskowski and his wife Maureen and Barbara Dieckman and her husband Ross, four beloved grandchildren, Tom Laskowski, Erin Gluck and her husband Jeff, Emily Dieckman and her fiancé Nicholas and Laura Dieckman and her husband Jesse and a cherished great granddaughter, Juliette Gluck. She also leaves a brother-in-law, Edward Laskowski and his wife Marlene and a sisterin-law, Ellen Laskowski as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Almassy, a sister, Lorraine Werenski and a brother-inlaw, Raymond Laskowski.
