Michael Anthony Siano, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully January 13, 2022 with family by his side. Over his lifetime, Michael was a successful entreprene­ur who owned three hair salons in Darien, New Canaan, and Stamford. He was a platform stylist who competed in internatio­nal hair shows and shared his talent with a new generation teaching in two hair academies he founded. After a short stint as a restaurate­ur, Michael started Superior Used Restaurant Equipment which he operated for more than 20 years before retiring in 2001.

Michael, a proud US Marine Corps veteran, served during the Korean War. He loved meals with family, playing cards and breakfasts with friends, gardening, and cooking.

Michael was predecease­d by his devoted wife of 63 years, Marie (Rozmeski) Siano, in 2019. Survivors include his loving children and their spouses, Michael and Tracy Siano, and Christine and Luis Restrepo of Fairfield; and Gina and Steven Orban of Norwalk; a brother, Tony Siano, of Fairfield, grandchild­ren Philip and Stuart Siano, Avery and Griffin Restrepo, Christophe­r Orban, and Blake Riley, great-grandson Warren Riley and many loving nieces and nephews. Michael was blessed with enduring friendship­s and a loving community.

A memorial service celebratin­g Michael’s life will take place Saturday, March 5 at 11 am at Trinity Episcopal Church, 651 Pequot Avenue, Southport.
