Fani Ftergiotis Loukrezis age 72 of Naugatuck, devoted wife to the late Antonios Loukrezis passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 with her loving family by her side. Born in Kokkinopil­os, Greece on November 29, 1950 to the late Nikolas and Ekarini Zarotis Ftergiotis and raised in Katerini, Greece. She came to the US in 1968 and a year later married her husband Antonios.

Along with her husband, she became a proprietor of the New Colony Diners in 1976. She was a resident of Easton, CT, for most of her life. Fani was a devoted member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Bridgeport. Fani enjoyed spending her summers in her beautiful house on the island of Andros, Greece. We would like to thank the staff at Bridgeport Hospital, especially the Surgical ICU for the care and compassion toward Fani.

Fani was predecease­d by her loving husband Antonios, her beloved son Leonidas, and brother Asterios Ftergiotis. She is survived by her three sisters Alefteria Kastanaras, Stamatia (Tula) Michael and Elaine Ftergiotis, two sisters-in-law, Anna Karistinos, Kyriaki (Kitsa) Ftergiotis, several nieces, nephews and several godchildre­n.

The Rite of Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 9, 2023 at 11am in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Bridgeport with Fr. Georgios Livaditis Presbyter officiatin­g followed by interment at Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Calling hours will take place Monday morning from 10am until time of service in the church.
