Dorothy Ann “Dotty” Cocozza

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Dorothy, devoted mother, grandmothe­r and friend to all whose lives she touched, on December 30, 2022, in Norfolk, Virginia.

She was predecease­d by her loving husband Louis, her brother and sister-inlaw Walter and Mary-Lou Paskowski, brother in-law Thomas Cocozza, godson and nephew Jason Kudravy, and grandson Kevin

She was the beloved mother of daughter Cori and son in-law, Jeffrey Ketchersid­e of Virginia Beach, VA. and devoted son Kyle and daughter in-law Elaine Cocozza of Marstons, Mills, MA.

Nanny Coco will be missed by her grandchild­ren, Kyle Q, Rachel, Tanner, Christine, Max, Lou, and great-grandchild Quinn. She is also survived by her brother William and sister in-law Geri Tanner, sister Elizabeth and brother in-law Joseph Kudravy, and sister in-law Marie Cocozza in addition to several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was a resident in Huntington, CT for 56 years. Dot was a graduate of Andrew Ward and St. Vincent’s School of Nursing. Her nursing career spanned over 50 years, providing care at Griffin Hospital, St. Joseph’s Manor, and Bridgeport Health Care Center. She was most proud of the 30 years of service to the patients of Huntington while working for the late Paul S. Mikan, M.D.

A celebratio­n of life will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 25 Church Street Huntington, CT on Saturday January 28, 2023, at 12:00 noon.
