Gail Aline Ford, age

87, a lifelong Connecticu­t resident, recently residing in Southbury, entered into eternal rest on Saturday December 3rd, 2022 in Autumn Lake Rehabilita­tion Center of Waterbury. Gail was born on March 10, 1935 to the late James and Helen Ford. Gail resided at the Heritage Village community in Southbury for over 25 years. Gail worked in employee benefits at the Citizens Utilities Co. of Stamford, and was a graduate of Bassick High School of Bridgeport. Gail loved her family and looked forward to family outings over the years. She was a history and ancestry buff, having put together a detailed family tree showing her Irish roots. She also loved animals, contribute­d to various animal charities including the ASPCA, and was fond of cats as she raised several during her life. Gail is survived by her sister, Carol Ford Luchansky of Florida, and nieces Jane Luchansky Balducci, and Laura O’Brien Donath, as well as nephews James Luchansky, John Luchansky, and Dennis O’Brien. Gail was predecease­d by her sister Judith Ford O’Brien, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A special thanks to nephew, Jim Luchansky for his loving care over the last several months of Gail’s life. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 10:00 AM in St. Augustine Cathedral in Bridgeport. All other services will be private and at the convenienc­e of the family.
