January 17, 2023

-

Michael Anthony Roberto, of Danbury, CT, peacefully passed away unexpectedly on January 17, 2023, at the age of 60. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on November 1,1962 to the late Maria Y. Roberto and Joseph M. Roberto.

Michael made friends easily lighting up a room with his high voltage smile and great sense of humor. Michael was a sport enthusiast playing football, tennis and jai alai throughout his youth. Michael enjoyed life to the fullest by spending time with friends, traveling to Grateful Dead shows, and listening to The Doors and The Pretenders.

Michael married longtime friend Lizette Perez in 1989 while living in Bridgeport, CT. They had two children, Joseph, and Jocelyn. Michael and his family moved to Franklin, TN so that he could continue working with UPS. The family thrived in Franklin, where they spent most weekends traveling to Joseph’s tennis tournaments, going to the pool, sledding and flying kites. He enjoyed watching thunderstorms with Jocelyn.

After his divorce, Michael returned to his roots in Connecticut in 2015 where he lived with his sister Lisa. Michael will be remembered for his big heart, outrageous laugh, genuine smile, and crazy adventures. He was a protector and warrior. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten. The impact he had on everyone he met was amazing and no one will forget that. Michael is survived by his former wife Lizette Roberto, their children Joseph and Jocelyn Roberto, grandchildren Laken Roberto and Jayden Rizo, his sisters Lisa and Monica Roberto, and aunts, uncles and cousins locally and in El Paso Texas.

We love you. Rest easy.
