Poppy Stevens

Poppy Stevens, age 88 of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Constantine Stevens, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 3, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Poppy (born Theopi Spiliotopoulou) was born in Akrata, Greece to the late Panagioti and Athanasia Spiliotopoulou.

Poppy dedicated her life to her family, faith, and friends. She was a devout parishioner at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Poppy prided herself in being a Sunday school teacher for many years and was a member of various church organizations, where she enjoyed spending time giving back to the community and being with her friends.

Poppy was predeceased by her parents, brother Alexios of Akrata Greece, husband Constantine and her beloved son, Stephen. Poppy is survived by her daughter Kathy Santella and son-in law Pat, her grandchildren Mary Connolly (Shane), Diana Santella, Matthew and Nicholas Stevens, and great-granddaughter Charlotte Connolly.

The Rite of Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Bridgeport with Fr. Georgios Livaditis Presbyter officiating followed by interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Calling hours will take place on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until time of service in the church. The Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main St. Bridgeport has been entrusted with the services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in memory of Poppy.
