PROGRAMMING KEEPS KIDS MOVING, EXPLORING, AND LEARNING ALL SUMMER LONG
Summer is a time for kids to explore new things and expand the limits of their imagination. At the Darien YMCA summer camps, every day is a new adventure! Our programs offer children fun and unique experiences with an opportunity to explore the outdoors, meet new friends, discover new interests, and create memories to last a lifetime. Summer is an ideal time for kids to get up, get out, and explore. But for some kids summer means no access to recreational and educational activities to help them learn, grow, and thrive while school’s out. As a result, some kids can experience learning loss and gain weight twice as fast than during the school year. Attending any one of the Darien YMCA summer camps is a wonderful opportunity for kids to keep their minds and bodies active.
The Darien YMCA offers preschool camp, schoolage camp, gymnastics camp, a counselor-in-training program, and programs for kids with diverse abilities. To ensure that all children have the chance to experience camp, the Darien YMCA offers financial assistance to those in need. Committed to nurturing children’s potential, the Y has been a leader in providing summer camp programs for over 130 years. The Darien YMCA Summer Camp continues to give youth an enriching, safe experience with caring staff and volunteers who model positive values that help build their campers’ character.
