The New Canaan YMCA Summer Camps have provided thousands of children in the community with a camp experience they’ll never forget. Looking for a memorable camp experience for your child? The Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk offers a variety of camps that are sure to inspire wonder in your young scientist. Registrati­on is now open. “We’re excited for another great summer at The Maritime Aquarium,” Camp Director Katie Farley said. “Each camp session offers unique opportunit­ies for children to engage in hands-on experience­s that will reinforce key STEM concepts, deepen their understand­ing of animals, and connect with our local environmen­t.”The summer lineup features annual favorites for children of all ages:

AGES 6-8

● Animal Investigat­ors, featuring exciting classroom visits with animals.

● Shark Safari, featuring a behind-thescenes shark feeding. Jr. Aquarist, featuring lessons with

● Aquarists on how to care for animals.

● Amazing Animal Architects, featuring hands-on engineerin­g challenges.

AGES 9-12

● Jr. Field Scientist, featuring adventures outside of the aquarium to observe nature.

● Aquarium Stars, featuring encounters with aquarium favorites. ● Jr. Marine Biologist, featuring an aquarium build and a trip on our research vessel.

● Fin-Fluencers, featuring lessons on conservati­on and opportunit­ies for campers to write and edit video.

AGES 13-15

● Teen Apprentice, featuring handson learning with aquarium staff. Camp sessions are offered June 19 – Aug. 18. Sessions vary in price and length. For more informatio­n, visit www.maritimeaq­uarium.org/camps.
