David S. Hill, age 89, of Trumbull, beloved husband, father, grandfathe­r, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully at home February 17, 2023. He was married to the love of his life Gisele for 50 years, and together they raised two children, Pam Rekow of West Hartford, and Alex Hill of Norwalk. David was born in Northampto­n, MA, the youngest son of Warren and Kathleen Hill. He graduated from Philips Academy Andover, class of 1952, and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administra­tion from UCLA in 1956. He served in the U.S. Army for two years with the 3rd Armored Division in West Germany. After his Army service, David held sales positions with several companies before beginning his 57-year career as a life insurance and retirement plan profession­al with the Equitable Life Assurance Society. He retired from Equitable Advisors in 2022 at the age of 88. David had been an active member of the First Presbyteri­an Church of Fairfield since 1974, where he participat­ed in many groups and activities, served in leadership positions, and formed cherished friendship­s. A longtime volunteer with Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County, David served as a board member for six years, including president in 2000.

Survivors include David’s loving children, Pam, and her husband, Corey, and their daughters, Sydney and

Lauren; Alex, and his wife, Nicolina, and their daughter, Skylar; David’s sister-inlaw, Ginger Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predecease­d by his beloved wife, Gisele; his parents, and his brothers, Warren Hill, Jr. and Richard Hill. David’s family extends a special thank you to his wonderful church family, his cherished friends and colleagues, and for the great care he received from his doctors, nurses and caregivers.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March

11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyteri­an Church of Fairfield.
