David C. Duggan, beloved brother and friend, unexpected­ly passed away on February 6, 2023 while on a business trip in Oregon. He was 61. Dave was a friend to everyone he met. He will be remembered as a warm friendly easy-going man who made his mark in this world by the basic goodness and generosity of his character. Preceded in death by his parents George C. and Susan (Schofield) Duggan. He will be dearly missed by his sisters, Lynn and Amy Duggan, and his dear friend, Jane Belanger and the children of his heart, Colin David, Robert, Jack, Marlow and Rebecca Belanger. As well as extended family, Walter and Carolyn Hempel of Shelton, Stanley Kavan of Milford, Susan Smey of Ledyard, Stanley and Claudia Kavan of Florida, and Gloria, Laurie, and Judy Schofield of Texas. A lifelong resident of Connecticu­t, Dave graduated from Shelton High School and W.F. Kaynor Regional Vocational School. He worked as a commercial electricia­n at G.C. Monaco in Shelton for over 30 years and was a member of the Southern Connecticu­t

I.B.E.W. After G.C. Monaco, he transition­ed to the commercial solar industry where he worked for Tesla’s solar division. Friends are invited to greet David’s family on Wednesday, March 8 from 4 PM to 5:30 PM in the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. His funeral service will begin at 5:30 PM in the parlor. His burial will be privately held.
