John “Scott” O’Hara

John “Scott” O’Hara, 62, passed away accidentally at home in West Haven on February 16, 2023.

Scott attended Notre Dame HS in West Haven and Milford Academy. He previously resided at Harbor House in Branford and worked at Assoc. of Artisans to Cane in New Haven.

Scott had an unparalleled love for playing tennis and listening to music (especially the Beatles). He was an avid chess and ping pong player and collector of stamps, coins and bottles. The illness of schizophrenia never prevented him from excelling and pursuing any of his passions.

Oak Beach was his favorite place to be in the summer where he loved riding the surf, boating and fishing.

The family extends special gratitude to Harbor House and Milford Indoor Tennis for their years of care and support.

Donations in Scott’s memory may be made to: BH Care Foundation, “designated” to Harbor House, 127 Washington Ave, 3rd Floor West, North Haven, CT 06473.

Compassionately cared for by staff at Cody-White Funeral Home, Milford, CT.
