Cynthia K. Antonico

Cynthia K. (Cindy) Antonico, age 69, of Stratford, beloved wife of Dr. Joseph Antonico, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2024. Cindy was born in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba on March 30, 1954, to the late Richard and Carol (Sorensen) Holm and had been a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of Bunnell High School and earned her LPN from Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing. She retired from Bridgeport Hospital, where she was a compassionate and caring nurse to all her patients, in life and more importantly at the moment of their death. Cindy was an avid reader, and traveler; she enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel 24/7, doing jigsaw puzzles and caring for her Koi Pond. She was devoted to the Divine Mercy and was an active member of St. Mark Church and traveled in pilgrimage to Medjugorje with the parish travel group. Above all else, Cindy loved spending time with her family, and especially as of late her cherished grandchildren. Survivors in addition to her beloved husband Joe of 30 years, include her devoted children, Danielle Troy- Holley and her husband James, Laura Beth Troy, Michael and Nicholas Antonico, precious grandchildren, Maya, Owen, Aden, and a baby, who we truly believe, she met on the way up to the Lord, as he was coming down to join the family. Cindy is also survived by her sister, Rita Carlson, brother, Vincent Curcio Jr., and his wife Denise, and several nieces. In addition to her parents, Cindy was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Holm Blakeman and stepfather, Vincent Curcio Sr. Friends may visit with Cindy’s family on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, from 4-7 p.m. at the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 17th, at 10 a.m. meeting directly at St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford, CT.
