Arline M. Casey

-

Arline M. Borsey Casey, age 88, of Monroe, formerly of Stamford, wife of the late Arthur F. Casey Jr., passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 17, 2024, with her loving family by her side. Born in Stamford on September 24, 1935, daughter of the late James and Clara Otto Borsey.

Arline lived in Fairfield for most of her life before moving to Monroe to live with her daughter and family several years ago. Her life was all about her love for her family. Arline cherished the times that she spent with her grandchildren, whether playing Gin Rummy with her late husband Arthur or granddaughter Casey, facetiming with grandsons Andrew and Tyler, making funny faces back and forth with Andrew, admiring Andrew’s artwork, watching Tyler perform in the Georgia Tech marching band, sitting with Casey at the kitchen table as she worked on various paintings and crafts, playing games with the family during the holidays, and keeping up the tradition of the famous “Hess Truck” and making her homemade stuffing at Thanksgiving. Arline also enjoyed going out to lunch and talking to her closest friends, watching game shows, and the simple joy of looking out the window at the dogs and chickens in the backyard.

Though she may no longer walk among us, her spirit will live on in the lives she touched. Arline was loved beyond measure and will be missed. In addition to her daughter Arlene Cummings and her husband Darren of Monroe, a son Robert Borsey of New Haven, she is survived by her loving grandchildren Andrew, Tyler, and Casey Cummings, a stepson Arthur F. Casey III of Milford, a step-daughter-in-law Mandy Casey of Trumbull, a step-grandson Michael Casey, Jr. of Ellington, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Clarence, Francis, Joseph, Edward, George, and Charles Borsey, and a stepson Michael Casey, Sr.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 2 at 9:30 a.m. in the Frank Polke & Son Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd., Fairfield and at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 149 South Pine Creek Rd., Fairfield with burial to follow in Lawncroft Cemetery.
