Where to park for events at Total Mortgage Arena
Events at Bridgeport’s largest entertainment complex, Total Mortgage Arena, can draw upwards of 10,000 individuals to the Park City. Due to the volume of people, parking may be tedious at popular events, as was recently noted in the Connecticut subreddit.
Aside from driving, there are a number of alternative forms of transportation to the venue including the Metro North Railroad and ride-booking services. Street parking is also available a short distance away from the arena.
Parking garages near Total Mortgage Arena
The transit garage and the two parking lots near Total Mortgage Arena are available. The surface lots are near the Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater,
which is right next door to Total Mortgage Arena. The parking garage is located right next to Total Mortgage Arena.
Both lots may not be open for every event, according to Total Mortgage Arena’s website. The garage is open Monday through Friday as well as for events on weekends. Additionally, reservations to park in the surface lots can be made ahead of time, but are not mandatory. The surface lots only accept credit card payment and the garage only accepts cash.
ADA-accessible parking is also available in the garage and in surface lot P on a first-comefirst-serve basis.
Street parking near Total Mortgage Arena
Some streets near the arena have parking spots. Metered parking spots are monitored by the city, and fees can be paid either at the meter or on the Park
Mobile app, according to the city of Bridgeport. Metered parking is free on Saturdays, Sundays,
holidays and after 6 p.m. on weekdays. Parking signs and directions should be noted ahead of parking on the street.
Ubers and ride-booking to Total Mortgage Arena
The pick up and drop off location for ride-booking services like Uber and Lyft is on South Frontage Road in front of the arena. according to the venue.
Taking Metro North
The nearest Metro North railroad station stops to Bridgeport are Stratford and Milford to the north, and Fairfield and Fairfield Metro to the south. Each station has permit parking as well as daily parking for a fee. Parking is free during select hours and days, depending on the station.
A one-way ticket from any of these stations to Bridgeport is $3 at the station, or $9 onboard. The Bridgeport train station is approximately a seven minute walk from Total Mortgage Arena.
