It is with heavy hearts and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Sarah T. Burger, a beacon of joy and boundless energy, who left us unexpectedly, at the tender age of 69.

Born in Wilmington, NC, Sarah spent her vibrant life in Fairfield, Waterbury, and Watertown, CT, to her final days under the sun-kissed skies of Tucson, AZ. Her educational journey took her from Andrew Warde High School in Fairfield to the halls of Pine Manor Junior College in MA, culminating in a graduation from Southern Connecticut State College.

Sarah was known for her whimsical humor and genuine kindness. She could light up any room and bring a smile to anyone. Her generosity was legendary; her enthusiasm for life was contagious; and her positivity was inspiring. She was uniquely able to see beauty in the most minor details, finding delight and wonder in everyday moments.

Sarah never knew a stranger, only friends yet to be made. Her heart and soul united her family and friends, creating spaces filled with laughter, warmth, and affection.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Steven; her loving children, Lindsay and Seth; her caring sister, Leslie; and the many friends, relatives, and acquaintances fortunate enough to have been touched by her exuberant spirit.

A celebration of Sarah’s life will be held to honor her memory, share stories, and continue the legacy of love and laughter that she bestowed upon us all. To commemorate Sarah’s life with a donation, please contribute to the ArizonaSonora Desert Museum, one of her favorite places.
