Carol Ann Rywolt, 79, beloved wife of the late Judd Rywolt, died unexpected­ly but peacefully at home on March 8, 2024. She was born on June 5th, 1944 in Bridgeport to William and Madeline (Robichaud) Toth and was a Trumbull resident for the past 50 years. Carol graduated from Central High School in 1963, and resided in Bridgeport where she met Judd and married in 1967. They moved to Trumbull in 1974, where they raised their four children.

Carol is survived by her son Todd Rywolt and his wife Kathy of Barrington Rhode Island, daughter Lia Rywolt, daughter and devoted caregiver Dale Rywolt, and son Judd Rywolt Jr. and his wife Kristen of Shelton; grandchild­ren Andrew and William Rywolt, Patrick and Megan Hannigan, and Karlee Rywolt; five nephews and three nieces. She is predecease­d by her beloved younger brothers Billy, Bruce and Glenn, who she helped raise in their Bridgeport home.

Family was the most important thing for Carol, and she remained actively involved with her grandkids, nieces and nephews. She was a lifelong avid reader of all genres, often finishing a book a day and always full of recommenda­tions. Carol loved pets and never turned away a stray, saving many dogs from being euthanized. She worked in real estate during the 80s before becoming an ophthalmic technician, working at the Fairfield offices of Dr. Peter Small for 20 years.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday, March 23rd from 10 – 11:30 a.m. followed by a short service at the Redgate - Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and 4 Gorham Place in Trumbull.
