Patricia Elizabeth Brennan, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Amelia Brassard Brennan.

Patricia resided in Fairfield for more than 50 years. From learning French in Putnam, CT at the French Academy, to designing sets and costumes for musicals at school. Riding her Vespa and teaching children, gave her the most joy. Her sheer determinat­ion to fulfill her credits for teaching, she attended multiple colleges. Patricia was a teacher at Our Lady of the Assumption School in Fairfield for 43 years before her retirement. Prior to Assumption, she taught in both public and parochial school systems in Baltimore, Maryland, Saratoga Springs, NY, Stamford and Bridgeport. Ms. Brennan was a member of the former Fraternal Insurance Organizati­on (the New England Order of the Protection), holding the position of Grand Warden of the New England States. A devout Catholic, Ms. Brennan was a parishione­r of Our Lady of the Assumption church where for many years she served as secretary on the Parish Council, directed the children's choir and taught in the Religious Education Program. Patricia was very proud of her Irish heritage and had been a member of the Gaelic American Club.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews, greatniece­s, nephews and friends.

The last of twelve siblings, Patricia was predecease­d by her brothers, Charles, Edward, Joseph, Richard, Raymond, Robert, Francis (Leo) and Thomas and sisters, Mary, Amelia, Lillian, and Madeline.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 3, at 11 a.m. directly at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Stratfield Rd., Fairfield with burial to follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 3-7pm in the Frank Polke & Son Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd., Fairfield. Memorial contributi­ons may be made to the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
