Julie Charlene (Aurelia) Marczyszak of Seymour, CT passed away on May 7, 2024 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Julie was born November 20, 1958 in Bridgeport to Phyllis and James Aurelia Jr., the family moved to Milford, CT where Julie grew up and attended the local schools. Julie always referred to herself as a Milford girl and enjoyed talking about the activities and fun she had growing up in Milford. She moved to Seymour with her husband, Edward, and they raised their daughter Jessica there. Julie was active in several local activities. She served as a Brownie and Girl Scout Troop leader as her daughter grew up and assisted in numerous school functions and activities.

Julie is survived by her husband Edward of 43 years, her daughter and best friend, Jessica Branson and her husband James Branson of Pound Ridge, NY, and her namesake granddaughter, Juliana. Julie was proud of the accomplishments of her daughter Jessica and enjoyed going on all girl’s road trips with her daughter and granddaughter. She was also bursting with joy when her granddaughter Juliana was born, getting to the hospital just in time to hear Juliana greet her entry into the world with a healthy cry. As Juliana, also known as Juju, grew up the bond between the two was forged in steel,

Julie also known as Oma to Juju would go on every ride at the amusement park with her, play tea party and every other game Juju could think of, When the two Julies got together Mayhem and tons of fun were guaranteed. Julie was a real momma bear who was fiercely protective of her clan, although small in stature she could morph into a full-size grizzly if someone insulted or threatened her clan. Armed with a sharp tongue and the volume of a drill sergeant, she could intimidate the fiercest foes if they dared to cross the line. Funeral services will be private.

The family is going to have a Celebration of Life at a time to be announced.
