Lezlie M. Geter

Lezlie M. Geter, 55, passed away August 10, 2018. Born on March 21, 1963 to Henry and the late Bernice (Hailey) Geter, she grew up in Stratford but spent her adult years as a Bridgeport resident. Lezlie held positions at the Department of Corrections, Bridgeport Hospital, and Fletcher Thompson. To know her was to love her. She was outspoken, creative and free spirited. She loved kids, nature and animals.

The greatest fulfillment of her life was the motherly nurturing of 5 beautiful children: James Jackson, Quinton and Star Clark, George and Shakira Johnson. Although not her biological children, she loved them with all she had.

In addition to her father and the children, she is survived by 3 sisters: Terri Geter-McClain (Glen), Jaime and Tracey Geter; 2 Aunts, Inez Calhoun and Connie Geer; 3 Uncles Stanley Geter, Ernest and Thomas Hailey and a host of family and friends.

A Service of Celebration will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 20, 2018 at Mt. Aery Baptist Church, 73 Frank St., Bridgeport. Friends may greet the family from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church. Intermittent immediately following in Park Cem., 620 Lindley St., Bridgeport. Arrangements entrusted to Geo. J.
