Naomi Charlip

Naomi Charlip, age 85 of Bridgeport, CT and formerly of Fairfield, CT, Hilton Head, SC, and Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at The Connecticut Hospice in Branford, CT. Naomi was born in Lousiville, KY, the daughter of the late Frank and Ruth Fonaroff. Naomi received her Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University, and was a member of Sigma Delta Tau National Sorority. She was also a founding member of the Suburban Jewish Center of North Syracuse, NY, and a member of Hadassah. Naomi is survived by her devoted children David Charlip and his wife Christine, Steven Charlip and his wife Stephanie, Judy Kulakofsky and her husband Daniel, Michael Charlip and his wife Fran, her adored grandchildren Darian, Alexa, Rachel, M.J., Kate, Allie, Annie, Jeffrey, Benjamin, Jonathan, and Brayden, cherished great-granddaughter Genevieve, dear brother in law Walter Charlip and his wife Sharon, nephew Douglas Legg, niece Lauren Charlip and her husband Sam Mosenkis, and greatniece Orly Frances. Naomi was predeceased by her beloved husband Herbert Charlip and her brother Benjamin Fonaroff. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 11:00 am from the Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home, 88 Beach Road, Fairfield, CT, with interment following at Beth El Cemetery, 250 Reid St, Fairfield.
