Eva J. Ogle
Eva J. Ogle, age 88, of Shelton entered into her eternal rest on Monday August 20, 2018 in the Griffin Hospital Derby. She was the devoted wife of the late Edward “Bubsie” Ogle. Mrs. Ogle was born in Shelton on July 16, 1930, daughter of the late George and Catherine (Nash) Ramia and was a lifelong Shelton resident. She was the manager of the Shelton High School Cafeteria for many years before her retirement 20 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Shelton, and an avid Yankee Fan. She volunteered for many years for Shelton Little League, running the concession stand. Mrs. Ogle devoted her life to her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is the beloved mother of Kathy Staffieri and her husband Ezio, Edward Ogle, Jr. and his wife Sarah, Elaine Norton, and the late David Ogle. She is the loving sister of Thomas Ramia, Catherine Eblin, and Mary Ellen Ramia. She is the cherished grandmother of Jessica Ringenback Wilson, and her husband Kyle, David Ogle, Paul Staffieri, Christopher Ringenback Alyssa Staffieri, Allison Ogle, Amy Ogle, Javier Velleco, and Vincent Velleco III. Besides her husband and son she is predeceased by 2 brothers George Ramia, and Joseph Ramia, and 3 sisters Rose Storiale, Sally Pagliaro, and Emily McCabe.
Friends may greet her family on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. On Friday her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church Shelton. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery Shelton.
