Jets claim kicker from Seahawks

The New York Jets claimed kicker Jason Myers off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks. To make room on their roster, the Jets waivedinju­red wide receiver Jonah Trinnaman. Myers was waived by the Seahawks on Monday after Sebastian Janikowski won the team's kicking competitio­n. ... The Jets are partnering with Def Jam Recordings and Marvel Entertainm­ent to help enhance game-day experience­s for fans at MetLife Stadium. Def Jam will create a Jets anthem that will be played during home games and be part of the team's pregame ritual as it takes the field. The Jets' deal with Marvel Entertainm­ent will include various Marvel-themed features for fans at the stadium. ... Ravens cornerback Jimmy Smith has been suspended for four games without pay for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. The suspension will take effect after the final mandated roster cuts on Sept. 1 and last through Baltimore's game at Pittsburgh on Sept. 30. ... Former offensive lineman Richie Incognito bonded out of an Arizona jail after being arrested on charges he threatened to shoot employees of a funeral home a day earlier. Scottsdale police said Incognito had been booked on suspicion of misdemeano­r charges of threats and disorderly conduct. ... The Bills signed punter Jon Ryan to a one-year contract, a day after the 12-year NFL veteran was released by the Seahawks. ... The Titans agreed to a contract extension with wide receiver Rishard Matthews through 2019. Matthews signed with Tennessee in March 2016 after spending the first four seasons of his career with Miami.
