Adam’s House, a nonprofit offering grief education and peer support to children and families in a home-like setting, will be the charitable partner with Celebrate Shelton for “Food Trucks on the River,” on Friday at Veteran’s Memorial Park in downtown Shelton.

Starting at 4 p.m. on Friday (rain date Oct. 26), the fun, family-friendly event kicks off with over 25 food trucks. Live music from The Lone Gnome/ Benny Mikula begins at 4:30 p.m. Kids will enjoy a costume parade at 5:30 p.m. and a Paint-A-Pumpkin area, where all proceeds will go to Adam’s House. The live music continues with Tracy Jo & The Toads Acoustic Duo at 6 p.m. Big Boy Entertainment caps off the evening with a DJ Dance Party from 7 to 9 p.m.

“Adam's House is thrilled to be the charitable partner of ‘Food Trucks on the River’ with Celebrate Shelton. At Adam’s House, we provide grief support and education for children and their families coping with loss due to the death of a parent, grandparent, sibling or significant person in their life. With the exposure at this large event, our hope is to continue to spread the word of our mission in the Valley, throughout Fairfield County and beyond,” said Allison Wysota, Adam’s House Founder in a news release. Programs at Adam’s House, 241 Coram Ave. in Shelton, are offered at no cost to all CT residents.

A$5 donation is suggested for the food truck event.
