Mixed messages from politicians

-

In the last two years I have seen and heard things that make you want to go Hmm.

I have seen politicians scream bloody murder over foreign influence on our elections and spend multimillions of dollars investigating, yet pass a bill for illegal immigrants to vote in our elections. I have seen politicians approve legislation to require background checks for all sales and transfers of firearms, yet rejected legislation to alert law enforcement authorities when gun buyers, including illegal immigrants, fail those background checks.

I have heard politicians up in arms about the inhumane treatment of illegal immigrant children, yet vote to kill American children that were born during a botched abortion. I have seen one party call their opponents fascists, yet fight to silence them, censor free speech on social media, and use media propaganda to make their opposition look bad.

I have heard politicians demonizing the rich, claim income disparity and push for redistribution, yet they are the ones worth millions, who own numerous homes and businesses and have become very wealthy while working the system. I have heard people say the “Make America Great Again” slogan is racist, yet when two former Presidents used this slogan it wasn’t.

I have seen politicians swear to uphold the Constitution, yet fight to destroy it. I have heard politicians hungering for socialism, yet exploit capitalism to make millions.

Every day, more and more I see and hear things that make you want to go Hmm! Wynn S. Allen
