U.S. GDP up 1.9% in Q3

U.S. economic growth slowed slightly in the third quarter while beating analyst estimates, with gross domestic product rising 1.9 percent according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis. GDP was up 2 percent in the second quarter of this year, with BEA attributin­g the slight decline to business investment­s and spending by both federal and state government­s. State GDP figures for the second quarter are scheduled to be released the first week of November, with Connecticu­t GDP having risen 2.2 percent in the first quarter.
