U.S. GDP up 1.9% in Q3
U.S. economic growth slowed slightly in the third quarter while beating analyst estimates, with gross domestic product rising 1.9 percent according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis. GDP was up 2 percent in the second quarter of this year, with BEA attributing the slight decline to business investments and spending by both federal and state governments. State GDP figures for the second quarter are scheduled to be released the first week of November, with Connecticut GDP having risen 2.2 percent in the first quarter.
